Rev. Dr. Nathan Brown elected to Christian Church Foundation Board of Directors

The Christian Church Foundation Board of Directors gathered in a hybrid format April 24-26, 2022. The Board of Directors elected Rev. Dr. Nathan Brown as the newest member of the Board.

Throughout his ministry Rev. Brown has worked with the Christian Church Foundation to better the financial positions of the congregations he served while nurturing in his congregants the belief and practice of stewardship as a spiritual discipline. Rev. Brown says, “It is an honor and privilege to be able to serve the Church by being elected to the Board of the Christian Church Foundation. Having worked closely with Gary Kidwell and Randy Johnson in the congregations I have served, I have seen first-hand the excellent work the Foundation does in honoring the past, supporting the present, and ensuring the future of congregational ministry through the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). I am excited about this opportunity and look forward to serving in this role.” Southeast Zone Vice President Randy Johnson shares, “Nathan is a life-long member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is passionate about ministry and making a difference in this world God has entrusted to us. He will be a great addition to the CCF Board.”

Rev. Brown graduated with a B.A. in Religion from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX. He obtained his M.Div. from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, TN and was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in May 2005. Rev. Brown earned his D.Min. in Homiletics from the School of Theology at Sewanee in Sewanee, TN in 2018. Rev. Dr. Brown began his ministry as the Senior Pastor of Sandy Springs Christian Church in Sandy Springs, GA in January of 2018.

Rev. Brown’s term on the Board of Directors will begin January 1, 2023.
